Final Week Summary

I learned so much about audacity, gimp, iMovie, and Movie Maker in the short 5 weeks of this class. I think I enjoyed audacity the most overall because it can be used the most for other classes. The Look, Listen, Analyze assignment was the most exciting because I really got to look into one of my favorite characters, Dexter. If I could take this class again, I would not take it over the summer. There’s just not enough time to recover if you have a bad week. Plus with a class being so different, there’s not enough time to adapt to it.

For my final project, I used my Samsung Galaxy s8 to record the video. I also used Movie Maker to save time, something I didn’t have a lot of. It was made just like my Where Do Your Shoes Take You? video which can be found here. I used for the phone ringing in the video (because the phone I “talked” on was a broken iPhone). I recorded the video at Willowmere Park and my home.

For the Selfie With Your Pet assignment, I just uploaded a picture of me and Freddie into WordPress. This related to the assignment since I was the main character and Freddie was the murderer.

For the Wanted Poster, I thought it’d be funny to post a photo of Freddie as he was wanted. I used to create it.

For the Street View Story, I took a screenshot of Willowmere park in Google Maps.

For Dog It Out, I just found a cute picture of Fina playing with her tennis ball.

For both the Sound Effects and Someone Call the Police assignments, I used audacity in ways I never had before this semester. All of it was my voice but I played around with the pitch and speed to make it sound like someone else.Screen Shot 2017-07-26 at 10.36.02 AM.png

All of these assignments were chosen because I could relate them to my story. I understand this isn’t as thorough as it should be but I’ll be boarding a plane in a few hours and I literally do not have time left. I also understand this is completely on me. I just bit off more than I could chew this summer. But I felt this was better than not submitting anything at all.
